Communities we cover in Loyalist Township
Amherstview, Odessa, Bath and Millhaven, the rural roads in between, and Amherst Island (Stella and Emerald), by the ferry from Millhaven. Ferry times decide when we can get to the island, so call and we'll plan around them.
Built between the late 1970s and mid-1990s? Check for Poly-B
If your home was built in that window, look at the supply lines near your water heater and under sinks. Grey plastic pipe stamped "PB" is Poly-B. It tends to fail at the fittings without warning, and some insurers charge more for homes that still have it, or won't cover them. We replace it run by run and quote each section. More on our pipe repair page.
Older homes in Bath and Odessa
Village homes that have been around a long time may still have galvanized supply lines or older drain pipe. Low water pressure, rusty water and drains that keep clogging are the usual signs. We'll tell you what you've got and what's worth fixing now.
Who to call when it's the municipal side
Amherstview's water and sewer are run by Loyalist Township, not Utilities Kingston. If the whole street loses water, call the township. Rural homes on wells are responsible for everything from the well to the tap.
